Just 1 km away from Villa Braida is the beautiful 18-hole course of Golf Club Villa Condulmer.
The golf course is the focal point of a natural environment of about 60 hectares, born in 1960 in the picturesque Venetian countryside. The 18-hole par 71 course, 5900 metres long, was built at different times. The first nine holes, designed by John Harris, wind through the centuries-old trees of the 18th-century Villa Condulmer park, while the second nine, built 10 years later on a design by Marco Croze, develop in length.
The greens are fast and well defended, the course is flat, and water comes into play on half of the course.
The holes
It is a flat course but despite its flat configuration, it should not be taken lightly as it presents various pitfalls, making the course interesting. The first nine holes of Villa Condulmer are very challenging and delicate; the second nine are much longer and full of pitfalls.
Hole 2 (par 4) is worth mentioning for its particular configuration; the existence of a dog-leg near the green and a monumental gate inserted in a portion of the ancient enclosing walls, which induces a particularly delicate shot to the green.
It is also worth stopping at hole 7 (par 3) where a deep channel, about ten metres wide, passes from skirting the tee on the right to skirting the green on the left, determining, with its looming presence, a psychological dependence of the player.
The most difficult hole on the course is undoubtedly the 17th (par 5), treacherous for the channel that runs along the fairway on the right and for the lake that almost completely surrounds the green, flat and very punitive.
