With this tour, you will reach Murano, Burano and Torcello directly from the heart of Venice: the boarding point is in Riva degli Schiavoni, just a few steps from Piazza San Marco. Board a comfortable motorboat with a covered cabin and set off to explore the lagoon.
Let yourself be captivated by the pleasure of sailing: on the way to the islands, you will admire all the beauty of the lagoon and the charm of the city seen from afar, while a multilingual guide will give you interesting historical and artistic information about what you will visit.
Murano
In Murano, you can participate in a 15-minute demonstration by a master glassmaker, who will create some mouth-blown glass objects before your eyes. If you are not interested in visiting the glassworks, you can explore the island independently. We recommend taking a tour of the Basilica of Saints Maria and Donato, or visiting the Glass Museum or Palazzo da Mula. The stop lasts about an hour.
Burano
The colourful houses reflecting on the green water of the canals, the ladies sitting outside embroidering the typical lace, the children playing in the street and the fishermen unloading fish from their boats make Burano a truly fascinating island. We recommend looking for the most curious things like the leaning bell tower or Bepi Suà's house, the most colourful on the island. The Lace Museum is also noteworthy.
For lunch, we have some tips: with Trattoria da Romano or Trattoria al Gatto Nero you can't go wrong. Osteria ai Pescatori and Osteria al Museo are also excellent, but a little more expensive. Whatever your choice... you'll lick your chops! The stop here lasts about two hours.
Torcello
Torcello is the cradle of Venetian civilisation: the first settlements date back to the 7th century when some populations sought refuge on the island to escape barbarian invasions. The historical and artistic testimonies make it a very sought-after destination for visitors from all over the world: you can visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, the ruins of the Baptistery of San Giovanni Evangelista, the 'Throne of Attila' and the legendary Devil's Bridge.
You will have about an hour. At the end of the visit, board the boat again to return to Venice and conclude your excursion.
